While “My Heart’s Cry” started as an email, I transitioned it to a blog format in 2017. I am excited to share this unique approach to prayer with you. My goal is to help you pray more effectively by providing a model for prayer. I also hope you find answers to the questions that your heart has been asking. Most importantly, I want to be a conduit of Christ’s love to you. You know that He cares, but sometimes you just need to hear it again.
I look forward to sharing this journey with you.

My readers have found these blogs helpful.

Healing for a Mother’s Heart
Moms have tried all their resources to fix the relationship and fix their hearts. No amount of chocolate could repair the brokenness they feel. They stop fixing, but their hearts are still broken. The Great Physician (God) needs to heal that broken heart.
Praying for Today
We must live today with hope for tomorrow. If we were to act as if today were the last day of our lives, it might actually be counterproductive, as we would still be surrounded by unresolved problems. Personally, I would find myself trying to make up for past regrets or rushing to accomplish things I think are more important than today’s tasks and relationships, leading to feelings of worry and anxiety. Do you see how that works? Accept who we are and where we are, even if it’s not where we want to be. Don’t dwell on the past hurts and trials, nor worry about the future.

Strengthening Faith
As we use our faith, it grows stronger. However, when life becomes predictable and effortless, we mindlessly seek pleasures. When you engage your faith in Jesus, you trust God, who cares and considers you precious. He sees your condition and has compassion for the trial you are in. You are His beloved. So when you have faith in Him instead of depending on others, you please Him.
