It’s the end of the week, Lord. I give you this moment. It’s not much. For my days have been very busy. And I still need to figure out what we are having tonight for dinner. But I don’t want this whole day to go by without giving you my time. For you are important to me.
God’s word to us: I know my darling. You show me this by how you live your life, not just by how you stow away moments with me. I look at the whole picture and find Righteous One written all over your life. How? You may ask. It was the way you allowed the sick boy to go ahead of you at the checkout line and then talked with him to encouraged him. It was the way you really listened to your daughter today and made her feel special. It was the way you brought home your husband’s favorite meal last night even though it wasn’t your first choice. You have showed love to others throughout the day. And even though you don’t feel a personal connection to me at those times, I watch and I am pleased. I love you my dear. I really really do.
Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength. The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. No other commandment is greater than these.” Mark 12:30-31
My Heart’s Cry is for you to know God is looking at the whole picture of our day and sees what is important to us. He sees and says, ” I watch and I am pleased. I love you my dear. I really really do.”
Think about this today. Look at how we are loved by God. He sees the tinniest thing we do to love those around us and He is pleased. Accept that love. Because what He really wants for us is to love Him and love others.
