The Perfect Age

I just read the article “What is the Perfect Age?”.  I’ve actually been thinking about that lately.  On the west coast of the USA people are saying 47 is the perfect age.  Well then I should have a very good year then.  What do you think is the perfect age?

God’s word to us: I think every age can be beautiful.  Forty-seven is just when you see the benefits of all that hard work you’ve put in for decades working and raising your children.  Think of it as a picture and late 40’s early 50’s is dead center.  You get to see clearly what your life was meant to be.  All your children have been born and are maturing. You are most likely married to the man you’ll be with until he dies. You’ve built your career and are entering the last leg of it.  For you, you are finding more time your own because you’ve raised 2 of 3 children.  You’ve chosen to be a homemaker so your free time really is yours and what you make of it.  A beautiful gift.

So teach us to number our days, That we may present to You a heart of wisdom.  Psalm 90:12

My Heart’s Cry is for you to see the beauty in the age you are right now.  You may be starting your first good job or be in the middle of raising your children. Those are wonderful times. The decisions you make regarding your career and how you raise your children affect what the center of your picture or life will be like. The Bible tells us to number our days, that we may present to You a heart of wisdom. The verse is timeless whether we are in our 20’s, 40’s, 60’s or even 80’s.

Comment on the beauty of your age today.
