I feel like you will have to carry me each step through this season. There is not much left in me. I have so many commitments now, holiday preparations and appointments. Jesus be Lord of this and get me through. I feel like closing my eyes and letting you guide me. It’s not that I don’t want to see or experience anything; I do, but I am overwhelmed by the mass and complexity of it all.
God’s word to us: Oh daughter, I have planned this time out for you so long ago. It isn’t as big as it seems. Especially if you just take it one day at a time. What do you need to get done today? Put your focus on that. Then day by day we will get through this very busy season for I am with you always.
“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today. Matthew 6:34
Join me in this prayer: Loving God, life is overwhelming sometimes, especially today. Please help me to focus on what I’m responsible for today. Give me the energy and strength needed. Please give me the wisdom to make decisions I need to make today, whether it’s figuring out what’s for dinner or choosing how to make the best use of my time and money. Thank you that you planned this day long ago. I’m glad you are always with me. In Jesus name, Amen
Please comment below if you’ve prayed that prayer. What are you overwhelmed about and how is it important for you to know God is in the planning process of your life?
I feel like a faithless fool . Why do I always freak out before fulfilling commitments that I thought were a good idea when I made them? I have many commitments like homeschooling, teaching a sewing class and working a woman’s retreat. Some weeks I’m fine other weeks I feel like it’s just too much. But now that the retreat is here I feel I have pushed my limits. I’m having a hard time moving forward. Lord, please give me wisdom when I’m making commitments and the courage to follow through. I am not worth much without you.
God’s word to us: In this moment daughter, I want you to remember that all things work together for good with my followers. I lead you each day and each moment of the day. So, take courage! I have overcome the world. You will get the courage you need at the right moment. For now, I just ask you to obey. Walk out those steps you know you should be taking by preparing for each commitment. I am with you. I am always with you!
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things, at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. II Corinthians 9:8

Does it relieve you knowing that God will give you the courage at the right moment? What about his instructions to just obey and prepare for your commitment. Will you follow through with that? Comment below and tell me how II Corinthians 9:8 can change your perspective. What are some practical things you can do to prepare for what God’s calling you to do?
My Heart’s Cry has been going on for a while in email form. But now I present the blog version of it. Thanksgiving week will start the first blog post. I’m excited to bring you this unique version on prayer. My desire is that it will help you to pray more by providing a model of prayer. I also hope you find answers to questions your heart has been asking. Lastly, I’d love to be a conduit of Christ’s love to you. You know He cares, but sometimes you just need to hear it again.
I look forward to sharing these with you,
